Description

Henna N (see her at Model Insider) photographed in a warehouse in Baltimore.  Shot on Kodak Tri-X 120 with my Yashica MAT-124G, this's unedited (except for sizing) and right out of the camera.

The model is lovely, and the warehouse looks like a very promising location to shoot. I wish I had a convenient warehouse! There are a few things, though, that take away from the impact. I would straighten the image. The vertical black pipes should be truly vertical. I would also crop it differently. I looked at the image and thought about it a while. At first I thought about removing some empty space above the model, but I don't think that works-- I think that space adds to the shot. Rather, I'd cut off some space to the right of the model. I think the impact will be stronger with the model's feet closer to the right edge of the image. Also, the model's hair is so dark the hair detail gets lost. I might pull out the shadow detail. It would be terrific if you tried another edit and posted a "before and after".
