On June 30th, 2007 there was a rare Strawberry Blue Moon, with the moon rising in the east just shortly after sundown. I decided to go with some friends to watch & photograph it from Indian Harbour Beach in Florida.
Unfortunately we had HEAVY cloud cover, so I decided to mess around by bracing my camera on the pier and taking some long timed exposures.
This image was 7 minutes after sundown, 5 or so minutes before the moon's official rising time, but with the last of the sun at my back the moon was already lighting up the clouds.
