Isn't this concept from Simon Blaise?
Formerly of Society SM. He was looking for a safer way to suspend people and this is what he came up with. It distributes the pressure to more surfaces. I thought that green wrap was even called "Blaise Wrap". Regular Saran Wrap kept breaking. It wasn't strong enough to hold a person's body weight. So he somehow got a special version produced to suspend people with.
